What's For Dinner? The most dreaded question asked around here!

I will be putting all these recipes plus photos in my own cookbook made on www.heritagemakers.com/LaCee I'm excited to have a family cookbook around here to flip through quickly for dinner ideas! I'll post as often as my crazy, busy life will allow.

Share some love! Let me know what you thought of the recipe if you tried it! Don't hold back, it won't hurt my feelings! It'll only help others who read this blog :).

Home Made Mac & Cheese

I really feel like a slacker here! I didn't get a picture of this meal (yet again), though this time I have a fairly good excuse, the camera battery was dead and charging, and of course we weren't going to put off eating for an hour or two just to get a picture of the meal ;). Better luck next meal!

2 Cups cooked drained Elbow Noodles (Macaroni Noodles)
1/4 Cup Minced Onions (I've used the dried ones before and they work as well as a fresh minced onion)
1/4 Cube Butter or Margarine
1 TBSP Flour
1 Cup Milk
2 Cups Grated Cheese

Saute Onions in Butter until soft. Add Flour to make a paste (may need more or less flour for paste consistency). Add Milk and about 3/4 of Grated Cheese, heat until Cheese is melted. Mix sauce with Noodles in casserole dish, top with remaining Cheese. Bake 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Please note: This dish is actually really good, I rated it honestly to my hubby's opinion, he DOES NOT like macaroni and cheese, no matter how it's made or who made it so he's willing to give it a fair rating but not the best. He will admit it is good if you like mac and cheese ;). LOL! This has always been a favorite in my family growing up :).
