I will be putting all these recipes plus photos in my own cookbook made on www.heritagemakers.com/LaCee I'm excited to have a family cookbook around here to flip through quickly for dinner ideas! I'll post as often as my crazy, busy life will allow.

Cowboy Cookies

Great alternative to Chocolate Chip Cookies. I like Chocolate Chip Cookies but not all the time, my husband on the other hand loves Chocolate Chip Cookies and whenever I want to bake that's all he'll request, he get's upset if I bake anything else. I found this recipe and tried it, he loved it! It's a great compromise in our house hold!

1 Cup Butter
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp. Soda
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
2 Cups Rolled Oats
1 Package Chocolate Chips

Blend butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla together. Add flour, soda, salt and baking powder. Stir in rolled oats and chocolate chips. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
